Jeanette Bramer Obituary

Jeanette R. Bramer (nee Vendramin), age 82, of East Chicago, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the VNA Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso, Indiana. Devoted and loving mother of Steven A. (Ana) Bramer, Paul G. (Marge) Bramer, Karen Bramer and Janice Vasquez; cherished grandmother of Steven, Jr. (Megan), Danielle (Demecio), Stephanie (Al), Amanda, Melissa, Mark (Katie), Justin, Tabitha (Howard) and Amber; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Preceded in passing by her beloved husband of 49 years, Paul S. "Butch" "Doc" Bramer in 2007; her loving parents Angelo and Rose Vendramin and dearest sisters, Audrey Vendramin and Mary Joan (late Jerry) Roe.

Jeanette was a lifelong resident of East Chicago, Indiana and retired from the School City of East Chicago with over 30 years of service as a paraprofessional and Librarian. She was a longtime member and secretary of First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. She was a longtime member of the former Assumption Parish and currently a member of St Patrick Church, Indiana Harbor. Jeanette loved being the Matriarch of her loving family. She enjoyed reading, gardening and all kinds of animals, but her true joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Devoted to her family and community, Jeanette loved life, lived it to the fullest and will be missed by her loving family and many friends.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St Patrick Church, 3802 Grand Boulevard, East Chicago, Indiana with Father Patrick Gaza, officiating. At Rest, St John-St Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Hammond, Indiana. Friends may visit with Jeanette's family on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Oleska-Pastrick funeral home, 3934 Elm Street, East Chicago, Indiana. Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Ray Helfen, officiating.  Friends may also visit with the family on Thursday morning at St Patrick Church from 9:30 a.m. until time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations  may be made to Jeanette's family.
