Jaime "Pimp" Garcia, age 63, of Whiting formerly of East Chicago, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at St Catherine Hospital, East Chicago, Indiana. Survived by his loving companion of 47 years, C. Iris Bohling; fond brother of Robert (Jean) Garcia; special uncle to many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Preceded in passing by his parents, Pablo and Eva Garcia; three brothers: Raul, Felipe and Carlos Garcia; three sisters: Bertha, Linda and Emma Garcia and nephew, Pablo "Huggy" Garcia.
Jaime was born and raised in East Chicago and a resident of Whiting for the past 11 years. He attended East Chicago Washington High School and was a U.S. Army veteran during the time of the Vietnam War. He was a longtime laborer working for many waterblasting company's throughout the area and many out of state company's as well. Jaime was a longtime Oakland Raider fan and enjoyed listening to his oldies music, listening especially to his Motown music. He was generous with his time and expertise and called himself " A Jack of all Trades. " He would help anyone who needed him. A couple of sayings that Jaime used around family and friends was "What do you need" and "Where's My Money." He was a hard worker and loved his family and friends. His integrity, kindness and willingness to help others will live on in the memories of all his loving family and friends.
In keeping with Jaime's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation Services will be private and a private interment for family will be held at a later date.
