Dolores was very devoted to the Catholic Church, if she wasn't playing the organ, she was in her church pew praying the rosary with her fellow Rosary Society members. She served her Lord Jesus through prayer and music. Dolores started her life journey in the Catholic Church by serving as an organist at a very young age. She was a graduate of Bishop Noll High School and studied  music in College. After a couple of years in College, she returned to her family's Parish, the Assumption Church in East Chicago, where she became the Music Director and Organist.  She was very dedicated to her position and never missed a mass. She sang and played for hundreds of baptismals, weddings, funerals and special occasions in the church.  After the closing of Assumption Church in 1998, she joined St Patrick Church and continued what she loved most, playing the organ and singing. Dolores was always kind and generous and never forgot your name, your birthday and even your anniversary.  She was a member of the former Assumption Parish and St Patrick Parish in East Chicago. Member of the Rosary Society of both churches and was  a longtime member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. Her home and heart were always open to all of her family and friends. She was loved and revered by many, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
