Carlos was born and raised in East Chicago. He was a Manager of Sam's Club in Merrillville, Indiana with over 15 years of service. Carlos and his family were longtime members of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Indiana Harbor. When one of Carlos' parent's took ill, he resigned his position with Sam's Club and became his parents full time caregiver.
