Blasa S. (Salas) Monreal

Blasa S. Monreal, age 98, of East Chicago, Indiana passed away Friday, November 8, 2019. She is survived by her loving children: Pat Monreal-Cisneros, Michelle Jiminez, Angelica Freeman, Marisol Salas, Mario (Polly) Monreal & Martha (Kenneth) Valdez; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Martha (Rudolfo) Eulloqui and Alma Salas; brother-in-law, Jesus Martinez; special niece Myra Santana and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in passing by her loving husband Raul D. Monreal; her son, Joel Monreal and her sister, Anita Santana.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2019 (Time pending) at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN. Visitation at the church will be held one half hour before the time of mass. Private cremation services will held at the convenience of the family. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 between 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Oleska-Pastrick Funeral Home, 3934 Elm Street, East Chicago, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Mrs. Monreal was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a longtime resident of East Chicago and an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and St Patrick Church, both of East Chicago.
