Anival " Al " Gonzalez, Sr., age 69, of East Chicago, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020. Anival is survived by his five loving children; Wanda Gonzalez, Juan (Sandra) Gonzalez, Lisa Gonzalez, Anival, Jr. (Nikki) Gonzalez and Tiffany (Guillermo) Briseno; eleven Grandchildren and one Great Grand Daughter; Mother of their children and dear friend, Matilda Gonzalez; ten brothers: Richie, Davie, Arturo, Ivan, Freddie, Joe, Angel, Carmelo, Sach and Ray; five sisters: Gloria, Lucy, Rosemary, Margie and Emily; also many nieces, nephews, dear family and friends. Anival was preceded in passing by his Parents, Saturnino and Martina Gonzalez Perez and his brother, Carlos Gonzalez.
Funeral Services (Prayers) will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 9:15 a.m. from the OLESKA-PASTRICK FUNERAL HOME, 3934 Elm Street, East Chicago, IN with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial being held at 10:00 a.m. at OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE CHURCH, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Carlos Sosa, A.I.C. officiating. At Rest, ST JOHN-ST JOSEPH CATHOLIC CEMETERY, Hammond, Indiana. Friends may VISIT with the Family on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the OLESKA-PASTRICK FUNERAL HOME.In accordance with Indiana Guidelines, PLEASE WEAR FACE MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED.

Al was a longtime resident of East Chicago, Indiana. He was a retired employee of the City of East Chicago as a Mechanic. Anival was dearly loved and will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.
