Nestor F. Novales

Nestor "Ricky" Novales, age 77 of Katy, Texas formerly of the Calumet Region passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Houston Methodist West Hospital, Houston, Texas. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Edna M. Novales (nee Santiago); father of 6 children: Enrique Novales, Esther (Ricky) Moran, Yolanda Santos, Linda Novales, Deanna (Daniel) North, Melissa (Elinsser) Zequeida & loving adopted daughter Michelle (David) Moncayo; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Rev. Gilberto (Antonia) Novales & Nelson (Gloria) Novales; 1 sister, Genoveva (Rev. Jesus) Cintron; sister in law, Silvia Novales; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Preceded in passing by his parents Emilio & Providencia Novales & loving son Michael Novales in 2005; dearest brother, Rev. Peter Novales.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Iglesia de dios Pentecostal M.I. Emmanuel, 3802 Elm Street, East Chicago, Indiana with Rev. Johnny Bonilla officiating. At Rest, Ridgelawn-Mt Mercy Cemetery, Gary, Indiana. Visitation for Mr. Novales will be held directly at the Church on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 for Family from 3:00-4:00 P.M. and for all the Friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. The Church Wake Service will be held at 6:00 P.M. with Rev. Bonilla. Expressions of sympathy in Nestor's memory, may be made to the family.

Mr. Novales was a longtime employee with the Johnson Motor's Company and the Igloo Company. He was a Proud U.S. Army Veteran serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was a longtime Resident of Katy, Texas and the Calumet Area. His integrity and kindness will live on in the memories of all who knew and loved him.
