Maria Isabel (Munoz) Ramos

Maria Isabel Ramos (nee Munoz), age 96 of East Chicago, IN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Colonial Nursing Home after a long battle with dementia. She is survived by her children; Eva Ramirez, Della Castillo, Barbara Funston, Lupe Munoz Cervantes, Manuel & Raul "Jake" Castillo, John & Mario Ramos. Cherished sister of; Bertha (Jesse) Gonzalez, Genovevo (Evone), Lorenzo (JoAnn) & Jesse (Aida) Munoz and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family & friends. Preceded in passing by her husband Basilio, Daughter Maria & Son Michael Castillo, Siblings; Marina (Jose) Gonzalez, Amparo (Chrispen) Robledo, Anita Munoz, Lupe, Frank (Eloise) & Angelo (Judy) Munoz.

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at St Stanislaus Church, 808 W. 150th St., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Msgr. John J. Siekierski officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church between 11:00 am and time of mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Maria was born in Nochistlan, Zacatecas, Mexico to Genovevo & Josefina Munoz. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother & grandmother.
