Lisa Marie York

Lisa Marie York, age 41, of Hobart, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Franciscan Health Alliance, Hammond, Indiana. Beloved wife of Douglas York; loving mother of 3 children: Alicia Arcaro, Jasmine Medeiros and Jarret Medeiros; loving daughter of Theresa Benoit and loving sister of Lori Benoit, loving daughter-in-law of Dale York, Sr. and Kathy York and sister-in-law of Dale York, Jr.

Family and Friends may visit with Lisa's family Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 3:00-8:00 PM at the Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM with Pastor John P. Starr, officiating  Private Cremation Services will follow. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the family.

Lisa was an employee of the NLMK Steel Company serving as a Paramedic and also serving in the Security Unit for the Steel Company. She was a Paramedic for the former Prompt Ambulance Service and the Deep River Water Park. She volunteered her time as a CPR Instructor for Hands to Hearts of Portage, IN and also as a cheerleading Coach for the Hobart Pop Warner Program. In her spare time, Lisa enjoyed many sports and activities, she especially enjoyed Kick Boxing, Zumba and riding motorcycles and ATV's. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. Her integrity and kindness will live on in the memories of all who knew her and loved her. She will be dearly missed by her many friends and family.
