CARMELO " CJ " GONZALEZ, JR.

Carmelo " CJ " Gonzalez, Jr., age 34 lifelong resident of East Chicago, Indiana passed away suddenly/unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, July 15, 2018 at St Catherine Hospital, East Chicago, IN. Survived by loving parents Carmelo, Sr. & Clotilde "Tilda" Gonzalez. Loving sister Angela Santos & loving maternal grandparents Ramon & Maria Ruiz. Cherished Uncle to Jesse & Alexis Santos. Preceded in passing by grandparents Saturnino & Martina Gonzalez and Uncle Carlos W. Gonzalez.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 9:15 AM from the Oleska-Pastrick Funeral Home with Mass of Christian Burial  at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, Indiana with Monsignor Rev. Joseph Semancik officiating. Burial Service will follow at the St John Catholic Cemetery, Hammond, Indiana. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Oleska-Pastrick Funeral Home, 3934 Elm Street, East Chicago, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.

CJ was a graduate of Highland High School. He was a loving son and brother and would do anything to help his family. His family was very special to him and absolutely adored his niece and nephew. He will be missed by all his loving family and friends.
